Gas Fire Fumes

Gas fires emit mostly harmless substances but unfortunately they also produce a small amount of toxic emissions. Where these are dispersed outside a building, for example up a chimney or flue, the concentrations are so low that it is unlikely that they will pose a problem. However, ‘flueless’ gas fires are becoming increasingly popular due to their greater efficiency and lower installation cost. As this type of fire emits its fumes inside the space which is being heated, the level of toxic compounds emitted becomes critically important.
